Over the course of his career, Doug has farmed for some of Napa Valley’s most notable names, including Quintessa, Chappellet, Alpha Omega, Far Niente, Silver Oak, and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. He has pioneered the introduction of alternative varietals, such as Albariño, and introduced vitis vinifera to previously unexplored regions, including American Canyon. Doug also produces his own wine under the Hill Family Estate label and has served on such committees as the Industry Advisory Board to the Foundation Plant Services at the University of California, Davis, and the Napa County Farm Bureau.
