At 3,000 feet of elevation near the peak of Cobb Mountain, Fore Family Vineyard is a high-altitude site growing Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel in extreme conditions. The gently sloped vineyard, with an eastern exposure, is on the famous red volcanic soils that give the Red Hills Lake County Appellation its name.
