Tamber Bey Vineyards · Calistoga, Napa Valley
Three Steeds Returns
Created to commemorate. Sold to support.
A Napa Valley red blend from the Deux Chevaux Vineyard, brought back to raise money for three organizations near and dear to Tamber Bey. Half the proceeds from every bottle go to their work.
The Return
A wine that gives back.
Tamber Bey made the first Three Steeds to commemorate the opening of the winery in 2013 — which is where the name Red Stable Wine comes from. The second label built a following, and then it went quiet.
It returns with the 2023 vintage, and this time it comes back with a job. Tamber Bey will donate half the proceeds from each bottle sold to three organizations near and dear to this ranch: Sunrise Horse Rescue, Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter.

- Merlot leads with plum and black cherry. Cabernet Sauvignon builds the frame — cassis, cedar, a firm line of tannin — and a touch of Malbec adds violet and a darker edge. Supple through the middle, long and savory at the close.

One Horse in Particular
Tiki
Tiki was Barry Waitte’s prized endurance horse — the big gray with a heart of gold that anyone who has visited the winery recently will remember. When he retired from racing, he found a second calling at Giant Steps.
For eight years he was the favorite mount there, carrying the riders who needed a steady horse most. Giant Steps retired him at 24, and he came home to Tamber Bey to live out his years. He shares a pasture again with Reve, the chestnut Arabian he once raced beside, who Tamber Bey tracked down and brought home after finding him listed free to a good home.
