At Tamber Bey Winery in Calistoga, Napa Valley, we approach your wine tasting experience a little differently. As you pass through the main gate and travel down our paddock-lined driveway, you’ll discover a winery unlike any other—set on a working horse farm with stunning views of Mount St. Helena and the Palisades. Here, you can enjoy award-winning Napa Valley wines, relax stableside, and even visit with our horses. We’re also proudly dog-friendly, so your four-legged companions are welcome to join in the experience.
Courtyard Experience
Immerse yourself in a stableside Napa Valley wine tasting experience at our Calistoga winery and equestrian ranch. The Courtyard Tasting includes a rotating selection of Tamber Bey Vineyard Series and Signature Collection wines—small-lot, vineyard-designated bottlings that reflect the best of Napa Valley terroir. Schedule your visit and select your flight preference when you arrive.

Cabernet Sauvignon Flight
Designed for Cabernet enthusiasts, this courtyard tasting highlights a focused selection of Tamber Bey’s most sought-after Cabernet-dominant wines. The flight includes current releases of Vermejo, Calistoga, and Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside the 2018 Ambassadors Cuvée and our new Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon—showcasing the depth, structure, and balance that define our red winemaking program.

Equestrian Connection Tour & Tasting
Experience Napa Valley’s only winery set on a working horse ranch. This 30-minute guided tour, hosted by owners Barry and Jennifer Waitte, begins with a welcome pour and a walk through the crush pad and barrel room for a behind-the-scenes look at our winemaking. You’ll then visit the stables to meet the horses before concluding with a curated courtyard tasting—a distinctive blend of fine wine, horses, and Calistoga beauty.
$75-$100 per person & complimentary for Eqwine club members.
The Collectors Tasting
The Collector’s Experience is our most exclusive Napa Valley wine tasting. Hosted in the private Ambassador Room, this elevated experience offers access to Signature Collection releases and rare library wines—perfect for serious collectors seeking limited-production Napa Valley wines. This is a private tasting experience perfect for the serious wine buyer and collector, and is the ultimate way to experience the finest wines from our cellars.

Add-On Options for Your Experience…
Savory Selections
We offer several savory additions to your tasting experience. How about a delicious cheese and charcuterie board ($40). You can add this to your experience when you book your reservation or request it when you visit. We also offer a unique savory cookie pairing and assorted savory snacks. When you arrive, ask your host about our daily offerings.
Picnic Lunch
Advance reservations are required for our Picnic lunch ($40 each), prepared by our friends at Sam’s General Store in Calistoga. Lunch includes a salad or sandwich of your choice, chips, cookie, and a glass of wine from our Vineyard Series. Select your tasting experience and you will be prompted to add your picnic lunch and make your menu selection.
Please note that our hospitality permit does not allow guests to bring in outside food or beverages. All guests must be 21 or older to visit the Ranch. Pets are welcome, on leash. Curated Experience
Let us plan a memorable occasion for your large or small group at Tamber Bey. Our Private Tasting Room, just off our reception area, seats parties of up to 10 guests. Our Ambassador Club is a light-filled garden retreat that can accommodate groups of up to 20, with a private covered patio overlooking the crush pad. And there are other options, as well, including evening gatherings in our picturesque Garden Courtyard. Contact us to plan an event to remember.

Strong, Sleek, Swift, Serene
As lifelong equestrians, the owners of Tamber Bey and their staff are fortunate to live and work alongside a herd of powerful, elegant, and dignified equine companions. Our 22-acre horse farm, with its 17 pastures and paddocks, is home to an assortment of rescues, retirees, and performance horses, including endurance horses (Arabians, half Arabians, and Mustangs), Argentinean polo ponies, and miniature horses. A visit to Tamber Bey gives guests the opportunity to mingle with the horses in the barn and tour the property with a guided host to see the horses in their paddocks.
