Tamber Bey is named for owner Barry Waitte’s first two Arabian horses, Tamborina (Tamber) and Beyamo (Bey). This vineyard carries the name Deux Chevaux, which is French for two horses and is named to pay hommage to these two horses. The 60-acre property is currently planted with 45 acres of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Malbec. Eight wines are produced from this vineyard. It is able to support a wide array of varietals, thanks to strong afternoon winds and cooling morning marine fog.
