Mes Filles

Sonoma Coast

This storied 10-acre vineyard is all about site. It is located on the edge of the Russian River Valley, in the Sonoma Coast Appellation. It crowns a 500-foot hill in an area known as the Sebastopol Hills, where it is exposed to wind and fog that stream in from the Petaluma Gap, a break in the coastal mountains that funnels in ocean air. The altitude and steep slopes maximize sun exposure, and the fine, sandy loam Goldridge soil provides excellent drainage. These factors, combined with the rootstock and clonal selections, yield dark, intense, flavorful Pinot Noir.
